DreamHack Open January will take place on January 27-31 and feature eight teams in Europe and four in North America, with the invited squads now revealed by the tournament organizer.

BIG and Evil Geniuses headline the European team list, joined by two strong CIS sides in Gambit and Spirit. Johannes "⁠tabseN⁠" Wodarz and co. might get a chance to exact revenge on domestic rivals Sprout, who will also compete in the tournament, after losing to them in the ESL Meisterschaft grand final while the final name on the invite list is FunPlus Phoenix.

Ethan and co. will compete at the $70,000 event during their stay in Europe

FunPlus Phoenix's lineup isn't yet announced, but it is expected that the former GODSENT lineup will join the Chinese organization soon after months of rumors and speculations.

The team list for DreamHack Open January Europe will be finalized after the closed qualifier, where HellRaisers and FORZE were invited.
